Danman87

Studio upgrade

Posted by Danman87 May. 11, 2008 @ 6:15 PM EDT

After spending about 2k for new equipment I started to feel bad for not feeling bad about it. I still haven't hooked up anything yet due to the absence of a large and the the funds to buy it. So yeah, it's a little bit chaotic here. Since all my music is gone now I actually doubt that anyone is still reading this nonsense I'm typing here. People have probably found other pieces they like and I'm probably just something like the past in their memories. I'll still post a few messages here and there ;D.

However, here's my tools of trades list right now:

Hardware

A nice PC
CME UF6 MIDI Masterkeyboard (New)
Shitty Behringer Mixer

Software

Samplitude 10 Pro (New)
Miroslav Philharmonik
EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold XP (New)
Symphonic Choirs (New)
Colossus (New)
Stormdrum (New)
Percussive Adventures 2 (New)
Bösendorfer 290 (New)
Ra (New)

All East West equipment taken from their Complete Composer's Collection... pretty awesome stuff. Well, thanks for still visiting my modest page, have a great week!

Just edited it since it doesn't work... didn't expect that anyone would take a look at this so fast.

Dont you have or use FL, ive heard thats the famous-er one, my friend has it, and i sometimes go and mess around with it, its pretty cool, so much that it made me think about learning music, but im already old to start learning now... anyway, 2000 in american money you say? sounds expensive...

Jun. 17, 2008 | 6:20 PM Danman87 responds:

Well Samplitude Pro is rather equal to Cubase which is pretty much the industry standard nowadays. Samplitude is the program which was used to record The Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, mainly used in LA by Zimmer and company. It's really well known for its stable and intuitive Hybrid Audio Engine. FL is lacking of some elements like Notation and cool stuff like spectral cleaning. A lot of people don't know of Samplitude because it's not that popular, Cubase users who are using it right don't want to go back whatsoever. Pretty much an insiders' tip =)

And yes, 2000$ and even more to come as soon as I got my bank account out of the red area. Professional equipment is just too darn expensive.

Hy Dan! I wanted to check out your new stuff... but I had to realise that you don't have anything on the page... I thought your older stuff are still around - because I wanted to review some of them that I've missed in the past... Now I've totally lost this chance...

So put yourself together and create something hard-hitting sh*t that I could review :)

But besides this I whis you good luck and have a good time composing new music!

Jul. 26, 2008 | 5:55 AM Danman87 responds:

Hey madboss, nice to see you around! Yes, I've took down all my stuff, the reasons are a few vexations out of the past. I'm not sure if I should start uploading again since a second comeback would look pretty ridiculous. I'll have to see what the people say... well if they say anything at all ;)

Wish you the best as well!
