-Love at First Sight-

"Great effort!"

date: February 16, 2009

You definitely got some great animations going there! The variety of different styles made this a real joy to watch. I'm not a big fan of Kylie Minogue though. :P

Great movie!

The Last One

"Very nice"

submission: The Last One
date: February 23, 2009

Great track, I really liked the percussive texture in this one. Especially the middle part has a cool, subtle atmosphere. Very enjoyable!

I also got a bit nostalgic when I heard the good old 21 Violins Stac patch from Miroslav. Good mixing here whatsoever! The only thing I'd criticize was the absense of some round robin for the staccato articulations. Apart from that it was great!

Author's Response:

I spent a lot of times to work on the drum and percussion parts, worked really hard. The EWQL Stormdrum got errors with Orchestra Silver somehow I could fix it. I mixed violin stac and full string stac together, sounds better that cello mix with full string. I gonna fix the part that you said.

Thank you for the comment and admits! :D

Heart of Melodies (v1.1)

"Very touching!"

date: December 27, 2008

I really enjoyed this piece a lot! Especially the melody around the 40 seconds mark was pretty enjoyable. Great tune!

I think other people mentioned the recording quality already. If you're going to re-record I'd suggest you to record with a two mic setup, one directly in the piano (at the outside towards the hammers) and one directly at your player position to capture the room. This will help you within the mixing progress. Now I'm not sure what kind of equipment you're using but I'd also suggest to avoid clipping by lowering the mic input volume or using a limiter if your mixer allows that.

Just a few tips if you were going to re-record it. I'd really go for it, it's definitely worth it!

Author's Response:

Ahh...thank you. I will certainly keep that in mind when the re-recording happens. No, seriosuly. Thanks for telling me how to go about it. I've been biting my nails trying to get this better, clearer version to happen lol.

:-)

Thanks for the words!

Remembrance Day (WW2 inspired)

"Amazing"

date: December 4, 2008

Sorry man, I'm late but finally got a chance to comment on this right now. The movements in this piece are amazing, there's so much depth and emotion into this piece it's incredible! Great use of the horns as well! Makes me think of some kind of graveyard scene at the end of a war movie.

Very impressive!
