Nice one WF! Some of this actually reminds me a bit of the music in Mischief Makers, if you've ever played it, just that this obviously has a much higher production standard! Loved the rhythm and melodic structures, nice to hear something shorter from you as well! :D

Very touching!

I really enjoyed this piece a lot! Especially the melody around the 40 seconds mark was pretty enjoyable. Great tune!

I think other people mentioned the recording quality already. If you're going to re-record I'd suggest you to record with a two mic setup, one directly in the piano (at the outside towards the hammers) and one directly at your player position to capture the room. This will help you within the mixing progress. Now I'm not sure what kind of equipment you're using but I'd also suggest to avoid clipping by lowering the mic input volume or using a limiter if your mixer allows that.

Just a few tips if you were going to re-record it. I'd really go for it, it's definitely worth it!

SatoDraygonFist2 responds:

Ahh...thank you. I will certainly keep that in mind when the re-recording happens. No, seriosuly. Thanks for telling me how to go about it. I've been biting my nails trying to get this better, clearer version to happen lol.

:-)

Thanks for the words!

Amazing

Sorry man, I'm late but finally got a chance to comment on this right now. The movements in this piece are amazing, there's so much depth and emotion into this piece it's incredible! Great use of the horns as well! Makes me think of some kind of graveyard scene at the end of a war movie.

Very impressive!

chrishaigh responds:

Thanks Denny that means alot coming from you mate

Very nice!

Great piece man! I really dig the use of percussion here, really makes me want to go on an expedition. It's very well arranged and it sounds like a professional production, great job!

And yes, professional equipment is pretty darn expensive although I think Eastwest has some pretty good deals to offer lately.

10/10 scarabs from me ;)

race1 responds:

Thanks. Yeah it really wasn't that expensive and I got two other livraries with it. yay.

I have another piece I'm working on but I don't know if it's ready yet.

I really want to get the strings from Vienna symphonic Library but I'm 281 dollars short (the full price) of getting them.

Thanks for listening.

Great

Hey Kaiyoti, great to see you on NG as well! Amazing music as always, I absolutelly love the synths (self-programmed?) in this track. Hope you're going to upload some of your other music as well. I guess you got some pretty cool stuff to show.

Take care!

~Denny

KaiyotiMusic responds:

Thanks Dan... I only use custom made patches :)

Trailerish

Great job, I really liked the percussion! My only suggestion would be adding a limiter since there are quite a few clippings here.

Very nice!

I really liked this one, my only suggestion is to do a bit of equalization. Try to turn the area around 600Hz down by 2 - 3 dB and higher 15000Hz by 1 - 2 dB or so. This should give you a very clear result if that was intended. ;)

Apart from that it was awesome, keep it up man!

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

Equalization huh? I was going for more of a surround/stereo type feel, instead of the one I had before where the panning was there, but it didn't really sound "real". Clear is good though, glad to know there's a music expert critique guy out there who, with a familiar name, probably has a good share of music! Thanks for your thoughts!

Great track

I gotta admit that I haven't listened to your work since a while. But the more I was impressed of this track, really good job as usual. Especially the part where the choir kicks in was... you know the word ;)

Justin, I always wondered what libraries you're using since you're also making use of a real orchestra. Is it the "standard" East West SO library, VSL or custom build stuff?

Take care man!

~Denny

Epic!

Hey Justin, great to see you on NG once again! Great track as usual, I really like the theme around 1:00 min, great job!

Hope your doing well, best regards!

~Denny
